Adult Industry doomed?

File sharing sites, like the one above, seem to be a nuisance to the adult industry

Boy oh boy, could we spend a few pages on this topic. Personally, I'd prefer to talk about the talent out there: who's a great starlet or star and why.

However, in a word, the answer to the question asked above is: No - and a pretty definitive one, at that.

If anything, the proliferation of online material has promoted the industry more than anyone realizes. Possibly opening up more opportunity.

Seems to me, advertising has made the biggest gains. How many pop-ups do you encounter, Mr/Mrs./Miss Porn-viewer, on a given site. Lots, I'd imagine.

Not like it was in the 80's, is it? Frankly, I'm surprised you can still purchase magazines in convenience stores these days. Used to be big bucks at magazine stands as recent as some 15 years ago. Your local adult video rental store owner is also taking it on the chin. But, hey, even Blockbuster is closing stores left and right.

All that being said, you can actually look up statistics on how much porn is viewed these days and it is quite staggering. Btw, the largest viewing group seems also to be the higher income folks - those making $75k +.

Hey, just check the browsing history of your co-workers laptop and see if you don't see something like: Eve Lawrence takes massive facial cumshot.

The revenue distribution in the industry has shifted. It will be up to Mr/Mrs./Miss Adult-industry-worker to adapt and survive. Sounds a little like business everywhere these days, No?
